Maken — careers

Work on the machines.

Maken builds Dynamite: extreme AI and marketing technology that lets us blow up companies. In a good way. We also do consulting for clients. Our own products, live every day.

What we build

Dynamite: one machine, from audience to customer. The first parts run every day.

Consulting

for the companies we advise

What we prove by hand becomes a rule in Dynamite.

Why you want to work here

No corporate ladder — an engine room where you contribute from day one.

One number, yours

Every role has one number and the decisions that come with it. No layers in between: you work directly alongside the CEO, CTO and marketing lead.

A week, not a year

What others plan in quarters is live with us next week. Every change is a test: hypothesis first, result after.

Our own AI stack, our own products

Gemini, Veo, Banana Pro and our own tools with direct API integrations to Meta and Google. You don't use AI — you build with it.

Office with a roof terrace

Our office on Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam has a large roof terrace — that's where we work and have lunch. We work from the office, with flexible days and hours.

Open roles

Four roles are open. Not the right fit? See below.

Design Lead (Brand & UI/UX)

Amsterdam · in the office, flexibleDutch-speakingEarly-career or experiencedFreelance or employed · 32–40 hours
+

You become Maken's first design lead: you decide how Maken and everything we build looks. From the first logo to the screen millions of people see. We look at your work, not your years.

What you'll do

  • Make brands: logo, identity, typography, colour and imagery, for Maken, for Dynamite and for every new brand
  • Set the visual direction for ads, video, social, sites and pitches; the makers and the AI work with your rules
  • UI/UX for funnels, AI advisors and portals: mobile first, every screen a test
  • Capture a brand so that Dynamite can make thousands of pieces with it that are right
  • Lead every launch, from first sketch to live: Figma, and where possible code or our AI tools

Who you are

  • Taste, and a portfolio that shows it. Early-career or experienced: your work decides
  • You can do it all, or nearly: logo, identity, imagery, UI and UX
  • A designer through and through: you want to lead and set the visual direction
  • At least university-level thinking (WO); it is about how you think, not your diploma
  • Fluent Dutch, and you live in the Netherlands, ideally in or near Amsterdam

Freelance to start, or employed · 30 days in which you ship something agreed up front · pay to match experience and form. Send your portfolio, and the three projects you are most proud of.

Media Buyer Meta Ads (lead generation)

Amsterdam · in the office, flexibleDutch-speakingFreelance or employed · 32–40 hours
+

You take over the Meta account of Energy Leads: a large and growing budget, new leads every day, and one number that is yours — what a lead costs us, with quality next to it.

What you'll do

  • Run the account: structure per vertical and client, budgets, kill and scale decisions daily
  • Structured testing with the creatives our team produces every day — hypothesis first, result after
  • Launch new clients and verticals: campaigns, URL templates, UTMs, pixel and CAPI
  • Steer on what a lead is worth: quality read next to volume every week
  • Feed what works back into the machine: hooks, creatives and audiences to the makers

Who you are

  • A few years of daily Meta Ads for lead generation, with your own budgets
  • You can show what you did on an account: spend, cost per lead, what you changed, what happened
  • Fluent Dutch — consumer, copy and team are Dutch
  • At home in Ads Manager, CBO/ABO, pixels, CAPI, UTMs and creative testing
  • You want to be judged on one number and like it that way

Freelance or employed · 30 days on a number agreed up front · two weeks of handover from the CEO who runs the account today · market-rate compensation.

Performance Marketer Google Ads & Meta

Amsterdam · in the office, flexibleDutch-speakingEmployed or freelance · 32–40 hours
+

You run Google Ads and Meta for the companies we advise, with one number per client: ad revenue against the agreed ROAS.

What you'll do

  • Google (Search, Shopping, PMax) and Meta per client: structure, budgets, bidding, feeds
  • Measure what's true: GA4, GTM, pixel and CAPI — when the numbers don't match, you find out why
  • Landing page and funnel: see where visitors drop off and set up tests with our team
  • At the client's table every week: what it cost, what it returned, what we do next week
  • New clients live: audit, plan, first campaigns within 30 days

Who you are

  • A few years of Google Ads and Meta for e-commerce, with your own budgets and a ROAS target
  • You can show what you did on an account: spend, revenue, ROAS, what you changed, what happened
  • Fluent Dutch — clients and team are Dutch
  • At home in GA4, GTM, CAPI, feeds, UTMs and A/B testing; you read a funnel from click to order
  • Good at the table with a business owner: you say what the numbers say

Employed or freelance · 30 days on a number agreed up front · two weeks of handover from our marketing lead · market-rate compensation.

  • Work in our own AI stack, built on Gemini
  • Join client conversations and translate insights into action

How we hire

Three steps, no cover letter. You know where you stand up front. Internships are shorter.

01

A conversation about your work

One thing you did yourself: the number before, what you changed, the number after.

02

A case from our own work

On real, anonymised material, different per role: one page on what you do Monday morning, or a design assignment for designers.

03

An afternoon together

In the real work, with the people you will sit next to. Then we start with 30 days on a number agreed up front.

Not the right role?

Convince us.

Don't send a standard cover letter. Send what you've built, run or conceived — a project, a campaign, an AI experiment. That tells us more than your transcript.
